Problem with lock transparency

i used to use the lock transparency to make shadows or highlights in a different layer, and the line wouldn't come out of the drawing. Now the only way to do that is making the shadows in the same layer than the color or drawing.

i used to have a layer with the lines, other with the shadows and other with the highlights, for that i used to lock the lines layer and that allowed me to make the shadows inside it, without worrying if the line came out.

I don't what happened, if it is a bug, but can't do that anymore. Can anyone help me?

thanks

I would try a test on a new 'test' file to see if the issue exists.

On the problematic file, I would check the layers by making it visible/invisible to make sure your 'lock transparency' colouring has the correct 'sketch' on it.  Also, if you have text as a layer, I would rasterize it.
