Gradient fill with transparency

I'm trying to use the gradient fill tool on the mobile app, and it always creates a gradient from the color I selected to black. How do I choose a color other than black? Can the second color also have transparency?

I don't think you can change a color to be transparent.  Here is a video of the color workflow.

..Using Sketchbook 8.6.0 on Windows 10 desktop.

..In the Lagoon there is a color circle (doughnut).  Left-click in circle.  See Transparent (grey/white checkerboard) as one of the eight color selections.

..So to fade the distance of a landscape into haze we: add a new layer over the landscape; fill with a gradient (white to grey); left-click white end-point; select Transparent as "color" for that point.
