Fail to Open File: File Format or size is not supported

Hello, I am using Autodesk Sketchbook from the Google Play Store and I'm running into an issue importing images into the application. When I make a blank canvas, I want to import an image into it for tracing. The first couple of images files I import go in correctly regardless of the file type (JPG, JPEG, PNG). It's not until a few more images I import the message pops up saying "Fail to open file: File format or size is not supported". I have been running into this issues for at least 2 years and whenever I contacted Autodesk but they NEVER responded. I don't know if this issues happens with iPads or Windows 10 devices, but it happens frequently with Android. I've tried making sure the file format is supported (since the previous images imported just fine) and tried reinstalling, clearing app cache/data, but the same message keeps popping. Is there anyone who may know what to do in terms of fixing this error?

Thank you.

Hey @Anonymous

I have been having the same issue on my Galaxy S9+. I don't have a fix and seems like there may not be one with the lack of response on this issue. There is a file size limit that you may be running into if you're importing several images into one canvas. But if you are running into this issue on a blank canvas, I do have a workaround that worked for me. Start by opening Sketchbook and making your blank canvas. Second, open your device's gallery, find the reference image you are wanting yo work with, and then hit the share icon and share it to Sketchbook. It should open in a new layer and give you the option to transform as if you imported it the way it should work.

Good luck.

Thank you! That worked! I also downloaded a image reducer app and that worked importing it on the blank canvas. It's strange Autodesk is failing to support issues on its products.
