'Deleted' half of my drawing...

I was finishing a project & it lagged. 

I saved it and exited out, when I exited it still shows the correct dimensions& layers but half of the art is greyed out, the thumbnail shows the full photo but when i click ig it says 'oops, failed to open'.

 I'm so frustrated and don't know how to fix this. I was supposed to get it done by tomorrow and it took 2 days.

I am so sorry to tell you that you may have lost some of your progress.  On mobile, I would 'save a copy' of the sketch in the future.

a. Start Sketch

b. Start NEW sketch and save 1st Sketch.

c. Re-open 1st Sketch and start sketching again.

d. Start NEW sketch and choose the option to "Save a Copy" of it.

Android

a.  Plug in device to desktop computer

b.  Go to /Autodesk/SketchBook3 folder

c.  Copy all the .tif files.

d. Open each one using the FREE version of the DESKTOP version of SketchBook via:  www.sketchbook.com/thankyou

iOS

a.  In the GALLERY of SketchBook.

b.  Move to the Sketch you want to 'recover".

c.  Export to PSD (lower Right corner) and email it to youself.

d.  Open .psd in the DESKTOP version of SketchBook.

If it just deleted some of my progress, that would have been ok. It deleted the bottom half of the photo, not just layers but about 45% of the photo is grey and it will not open the file.

To recover your drawings from iOS devices, you might want to use Joyoshare iOS Data Recovery.

It can recover your drawings from iCloud or iTunes backups (if you have backups). 

But if you have no backups, it can still recover the drawings from the internal memory of the iDevices.
