Question about the selection shape and selection object options

Hi Everyone,

Is there any way to change the selection shape option and/or the selection object option (surfaces, edges, parts, etc) without using the Ribbon or Quick Access Toolbar?

I want to use either shortcuts/aliases with the keyboard or am looking for an option like the Autodesk Inventor selection filter. The Autodesk Inventor selection filter can be changed with a right click menu (Hold down shift + right click). Therefore, this option is quicker than moving the cursor to the Ribbon or Quick Access Toolbar.

I'm going off of memory, cut I think the selection type and shape are available from the right-click menu when there are no objects already selected.

You're right! They can be changed from the right click menu when nothing is selected. However, I thought there were shortcuts/aliases to get them rigth away rather than using a cascade menu (Image 1). I think that's the way it is and I shouldn't compare it with other apps like Inventor. It's just that I'm an Inventor user and I use the shortcuts/aliases as well as combinations (for instance Shift key+Right Click ).
