Autodesk Piping Design (PipePak) - Free Download

One can download a free version of Autodesk Piping Design (PipePak) from the following web address:

http://labs.autodesk.com/utilities/piping_design_extender/

This free download will expire 6-30-2010.

This is the same as the last released version of Algor's PipePak (v23.1), but has been renamed to Autodesk Piping Design so that Autodesk can test its popularity and learn about industry needs. There is a feedback interface on the labs website under Piping Design Technology Preview.

Any update information about the Piping Design?

One of the algor user who used the early pipeplus for years, and would like to know any new program could do the same job.

Thanks!

Pat,

I paid for Pipepak back in 2006, I have just recieved a project that requires the analysis of Piping system to B31.1 as well as pressure vessels to section ASME 1, 4 and 8,

When I last updated my software 2011, it came with simulator and PV designer, by did not have pipepak.

Can you send me a version so I can run piping analysis. email to idealengineering@eastlink.ca

The other question I have is on PV Designer, I have gone over the tutorial and the making of the model is easy , but once you bring it into simulator, what is the best way to inpu pressures on the inside of the shell. turn on and off parts 9 hide them? or is there an easier way. can you put -100 psi on the outter surfaces or do you have to do half sections for everything???

Do you have a few examples you can email PDF of my review?

Than k you

Hi James,

Pipe Pak is no longer part of Autodesk's supported product portfolio, to my knowledge it was never incorporated with the product post-acquisition of Algor. You can still access the old Algor customer portal with your AE number and password, however if you have lost this information we have no way to recover it.

In Simulation Mechanical 2015 there is the "neighbors" command on the ribbon. When you select one interior surface you can use the more neighbors option to grow that selection to all surfaces on the interior of the part.

Wish I knew about this free download! I've used PipePak in the past and still need it for exhaust calculations. I do not currently have a copy, but would love to get this software again.
