Materials being lost from Revit model once exported to FBX and saved in showcase

Hi All..

So i am on Revit 17 and showcase 17.

I am exporting my model to FBX.

Opening in Showcase (all my revit materials are there - great)

how ever if i shut that file down/ or save and close. when i re open the showcase file i have lost all my revit materials.

Any idea how i get them back?

any help would be appreciated.

Hi Michael,

have you tried to export the fbx in the 2013 format?

Hi.

i have not tried that.

when i go to export the FBX i get two optons

FBX 2015 and previous

and then just normal FBX

also i have just noticed.

every time i publish a shot to movie (just a simple orbit) (showcase freezes)

anyone have any experience with that?
