Crashing when ray tacing

Hi,

Every time I try to ray trace it crashes after the first few traces. Showcase exits and asks me to send a report, I've done this. Does anyone have any ideas on how I would go about fixing this? I'm on showcase 2017 student and I'm using .ipts, if it helps.

those crashes are usually associated with a log file which you can find in your %temp% location.  start there to figure out what is causing the issue.  Since showcase is very graphics intensive on a system (even with a $1500 nvidia quadro 5100m card), try updating your graphics card driver to the latest one to see if that helps.
