Screencast Killed my Mouse?

Downloaded & installed Screencast this afternoon.  Once the download was complete, my Bluetooth mouse no longer worked.  Have power-cycled both my laptop and my mouse, changed the battery, deleted the device and re-paired several times.  My laptop will see the mouse, I can choose to pair it, and it even shows connected, but it just doesn't work. Can't find anything about drivers, not really finding any useful hints online.

It could just be coincidence, but it happened immediately upon restart after the Screencast installation.

Update; mouse is working again after I:

  1. Uninstalled Screencast
  2. Stepped away for about 4 hours to cool off.  (Me, not the computer 🙂 )
  3. Ran a virus scan using AVG.
    1. AVG noticed a Webroot browser plug-in it suggested deleting
    2. I deleted said plug-in
  4. Restarted machine (again)
  5. Re-paired mouse (again)

Needless to say I'm a bit wary of trying to install Screencast again!

Have you checked the "infected"(?) plugin with other anti-virus-tools too? It would be interesting if other tools report also an issue ...
