Thank you in advance!!!

Are you looking for something like that?

See the attached file in order to view the parameters

by the creation of a cylinder

picture 1

Once the object is created you can with right mouse click, select

Object properties

Advanced Options + click

+ OK

it pops up the cylinder creation palette or window

enter the desired side division (like above) and replace the object with the same "object number"

be sure only that the geometry data remains the same like your original

Hi again,

there is a new problem with my model that appeared. Now I have a dome, that I want to mesh in 36x10 elements, but the program makes the 36x36 (I need 36 meridian elements and 10 radial)

And there came on my mind one more question: is there a way to mace an opening (for example d=150mm) in the center of the dome without modeling it again?

Thank you for your attention!

Best Regards,

Stefan

Additional info to already provided by Rafal:

1/ in case of shell generation by Revolve the circumferential and radial density of FE mesh is controlled in different places - circumferential density in paramaters of revolve, radial density in standard parameters of meshing

2/ the simplest method of creating an opening is selecting finite elements and deleting them - but it is efficient only if size and shape of these finite elements corresponds to the required opening and when FE mesh is frozen (because any mesh regeneration will recreate these finite elements)

3/ opening at the top of the dome can be also created changing the coordinates of the appropriate point of arc - in such case it is necessary to restore the original definition of the axis of Revolve

Above actions shown in this video
