1) The wood security factor (gamma M) for design eurocode 8 (earthquake) is 1.00 only for capacity design (DCM, DCH, with q > 1.5), according to EN 1998-1 §8.6(3)P. But it should be take as current security factor (1.25 or 1.3 in France) for DCL design (q = 1.5) according to EN 1998-1 §8.6(2)P : it is a mistake of RSA.
2) For capacity design, overstrengh factors must be used for diaphragms's elements (diagonals and others pieces) according to EN 1998-1 §4.4.2.5:
- 1.1 for ductiles ruptures
- 1.3 for fragiles ruptures (wood elements)
This point is not including in RSA design.
