This software is awesome. I want to highlight some features which are missing in this software.
As I am form India, I frequently require to analyse the structure for equivalent lateral force method as per IS 1893:2002 whichis not present i this software. Other softwares such as Etabs and Staad have already this feature.
1. Also many softwares including robot have not readymade staircase modeling feature which is very important. I know that there are many ways to simulate the stairecase conditions but those are complex. Many stairecases such as slabless stepped staircase, circular staircase, etc are very difficult to model and hence I thing that it will be a unique feature of robot if developers provide this feature in it. I am asking this because staircase modeling in revit is very easy because it has that feature then why robot doesnt have.
2. The detailing of members is very much good but in my opinion there is a large scope to improve the software in this section. Because in the India the drawings are not represented in the way that robot represents. The drawings which are sent to the contractor are in different layout. In detailing, documentation and design sections S-Cube RCDC is much ahead in India and many structural firms are using this software. This is the major reason for diversion of engineers in India to staad and etabs because the analysis files can be imported in RCDC. RCDC gives much quality represenation of drawings and documentation consolidately and hence this is my request to the Autodesk that please bring some simplicity in these sections or bring separate module for design, detailing and documentaion.
