Hi, so I have been modelling concrete buildings for a while and I think the following options will make ROBOT much more effecient in the building Module:
- when filtering some Core walls in a new windows, results of the selected walls ONLY should be shown on that windows and not all the other wall results and that way there is no need to reduce the limit of the section planes every time i need to show the output of the wall. also that is more effecient with angled walls that don't line with the section planes view cuts.
- When filtering any object in a new screen, then other objects that have not been selected should be frozen, meaning there is no way that they can be selected until the window that shows them is activated. that way the user garantee that all operations are done only on the selected items shown in the activated windows.
- adding option of showing the loads as maps with color for easier presentation and checks.
- the ability to show elevation views on all definined grid lines including Arbitrary (general) grid lines.
- Adding automatic wind load generation on the structure as per NBCC and other codes (same as ETABS).
- adding option to force ROBOT to snap to panel edges and corner while modelling to avoid rounding errors that screw the output especially if there are skewed and angled panels in the model.
- Adding design parameters attached to the section definition (i.e for a column defined as C450x500, I will be able to define the reinforcement scheme as well so that it is always associated to this section).
- it is also good to have an option to create a strip design that allows ROBOT to integrate the moment across that strip. this will help determining design moments using codes that uses the design strip methods especially for flat slab design.
Thanks
