Hi @risefire12
It is nodal support symbol (vertical displacement blocked-line, rotations around horizontal axes blocked-squares)
this symbol comes out when i use a partial rigid diaphragm (stiffened in XY Plan) ... its normal right ?
Hi @risefire12
It is correct for rigid diaphragm. Symbol is generated automatically in the middle of XY rigid diaphragm. In that case it shows directions not blocked by diaphragm (UZ, RY and RX) for diaphragm nodes.
thnk u so much for ur reply... i have another question plz
when i assign the rigid diaphragm i get the warning message " cohesion of the calculation model has been provided by definition of the kinematic constraints" ...and when ever i remove the diaphragm the warning message dissapear... is there explanation plz ?
Hi @risefire12
Reported warning suggest problem with meshing. If you will click in message program should select FE with incoherent mesh. Share model for verification.
when i click on the warning message it select the nodes of the diaphragm... this is why when i remove the diaphragm the warning message disappear.
plz find attached model
i also viewed the kinematic constraints in the display settings and this is the location of the kinematic
Hi @risefire12
Model is correct . Warning can be removed by
- freezing mesh using Analysis >Meshing>Mesh Freeze (for all panels)
- swithing off Kinematic constrains in incoherence points in Tools >Job Preferences >Meshing (then OK)
thnk u very much for lookin up on my model
can you explain plz why this warning message was appearing ? and also when i should leave it on ( kinematic constraints) ?
Hi @risefire12
Warning is reported while Model Generation. Dummy calculation nodes generated for diaphragm simulation, are indicated as incoherence points. In my opinion it is false warning. When I run model calculation more than once (with no changes), warning is not reported while second (and next) calculations.
Such a warning is reported for models with incoherent mesh on panel edges . In your model mesh is correct (at least as far as I can see). Even if this warning is reported it can be ignored.
