Unable to add custom made profiles to calculation model

Usually I've been able to enter a section from the database using "section selection from database" on the Sections dialog. Now when clicking on the folder icon I just get an error message "The specified procedure could not be found" and aren't able to proceed. This occurs on both 2018 and 2021 versions of Robot. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

EDIT: Just launched RSA 2023 to double check if the problem persists and for some reason the database functions normally. Is there a possibility that the more recent version of the program somehow blocks it from working on older versions? 2023 isn't supported yet by my company so I'd still have to use 2021 for full licensing support and such.

HI @jarsqui

Different Robot versions have different installation sources and do not interfere.

It seems like

  • corrupted user profile
  • corrupted installation

or

  • no privileges to some necessary resources.

Close Robot 20xx

Try to rename.

C:\Users\%user login%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis Professional 20xx  (for not working version)

and

C:\Users\%user_login%\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Structural\Common Data\20xx (for not working version)

Both folders should be generated (with default settings) while Robot 20xx start.

Then copy C:\Users\wasikk\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Structural\Common Data\20xx\ruserpro.xml

form renamed folder to newly created

C:\Users\wasikk\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\Structural\Common Data\20xx\

to have acess to user section database.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I was able to replicate the solution, and the folders were regenerated as you said. But unfortunately the error still persists on both Robot versions.

It wouldn't surprise me if there were some issue with privileges since the company policies can be quite strict, but that doesn't explain the fact that this problem started only after installing RSA 2023. The policies meanwhile, I do not believe have had changed, but I'm not IT so can't be sure.

EDIT: I did this procedure AGAIN, launched both Robots, REBOOTED and then it just worked afterwards. Skipped rebooting first time, cause didn't seem like it should do anything. Thank you!

Hi @jarsqui

Check if the following folders for not working versions are not empty

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Structural\Common Data\20xx

There should be about 140 MB of data in each folder.

Anyway I would try to reinstall not working versions

- remove not working Robots from Control panel

- restart computer

- disable Windows User Account Control option

- log with Administrative privileges

- disable Antivir System for installation time

- instal Robot
