Timber design - worked examples

Hi. I am looking to design timber beams using Robot but I have not been able to find any worked examples or video tutorials. I know that the process is similar to steel for the analysis stage but I would like to find out some guidance relating to the design stage.

Some of the items I am struggling with are;

1 How to modify the Kmod value.

2 Does the programme do checks on shear, bending and deflection. I can only get output for bending and buckling checks.

Any information on the above would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for the information on the Kmod value Artur.

I will leave this thread open for any further guidance on the overall design process.

Thanks again.

The overall process is exactly the same as for steel structures. I'd recommend watching the recording of the 3rd Robot webinar
