Hi,

Thanks for your info however I believe there must be a different issue and it's not due to simplified calculation.
For this member my simplified hand calculations gave mi utilization of 0.96.
1.27 as per your estimation is far away. In my opinion there is another bug.

Hi Peter,

 

The estimated value may not be accurate (as per design of this functionality) and it is hard to compare what simplifications were used by you and the program to display the ratio in the bar properties dialog. The bottom line is that you should always run the final verification in the Steel Design module.
