Steel design connection

Can someone tell me why i cant apply beam-column web connection to bar 1 and bar 331?

Such connection type is not available in Robot.

Exactly. However i can't apply that kind of connection for the above mentioned bars.

May you have defined another connection type for that node so, you should delete the old one and define the new.

Hi Mohammed,

 

Thank you for trying to help but my understanding is that the beam is actually rotated by 90 degrees so that its web is perpendicular to the column. In Robot such geometry of the connection is limited to beam to beam web connection with loads acting in the direction parallel to the secondary beam web.

try to split the column (near the peak) and then create your connexion

I know that this type connection is not availble, but I still try to find that way that I can use RSAP to design without excel sheet
