Starting with Robot - input of EI

Hello Community,

I'm starting with Robot and I would like to start practising with examples to get moment, shear diagrams for continuos beams (influence lines). Basically, some of these examples dont have any section of material properties "numerically asigned", but just EI, 0.5EI, 2EI and so on.

What are the steps to input this information in the software?

E and I are defined separatedly in RSA.

Easier way would be choosing a predefined material like CONC or Steel or timber and define custom sections using the general tab on " new section" dialog window where section properties can be defined numerically

In the case of 2EI, should I then give a value of "1" to E and a value of "2"to I? 🙂
