Splice Connection

Hi,

I am designing a splice connection to Eurocode 3.

I am using a connection category C, Slip-resistant at ultimate limit state, and I am wondering how to select HSFG bolts.

I tried to change bolts database but I can't find them.

Also, what the letter 'B' after a bolt diameter means?

Thanks

Franco

There is no possibility to choose HSFG bolts straightaway, however by choosing category B or C usage of this type of bolts is automatically assumed. Please note, that for category B and C slip resistance is checked which only HSFG bolts have.

Hi @Anonymous

In addition to the information provided by @Anonymous (thank you):

According to my knowledge (if my memory still serves me well Smiley Wink ) B stands for bolts that were shared with ASD Steel

Mind that for B and C category connections you should select either 8.8 or 10.9 class bolts as Robot doesn't check this automatically.

If I managed to answer your question(s) press the Accept as Solution button please. This will help other users to find solution(s) much faster. Thank you.
