Solid with bar element

Hello,

I was modelling the Abutment for a Bridge and its pile cap, but I don't understand really how to make them work together. So It's true that the only way it's forcing the nodes of my Bar elements to make them match with the solid's nodes right? more over, in previous models I used an option called Body Constraint from another Software(Sap2k)  .....thought that the same function might be here also in RSA. Smiley Sad

Correct.

How does it work exactly/ Does create some rigid links or dummy elements?

Thanks for the answer.

So the only option I have is matching the nodes, by the way I've seen in other posts about using "Rigid Links" is that possible to do or too difficult

? I mean, the only thing that I need to do is to define the Master node(Point from Pile) with the Slave Points(Points from the abutment) and then in preferences to activate the option for Rigid Link analysis correct?

Solution 1 (Old-school matching of nodes)

Solution 2 (Magical Rigid Links)

Once I finished I will upload a screen-capture of the other software's function.
