Soil Database Friction Coefficient Values

Hi,

I am using built in soil database in robot which is in theory very handy to pick up any soil quickly but for e.g. when I select IL044 soil database, all soil types show 0 for friction coefficient. But when I select ILISO14688 it shows friction coefficient different from 0 which seems correct.

Is there any issue with built-in soil databases, or this is expected for some reason? I am using EC7 and not sure which soil database to use for the best compatibility.

Kindly provide input on this.

Thanks

Hi @umut.akparlar,

thank you for your question.

For EC7 it is recommended to use ILISO14688.

IL044 was created based on British literature and related to the implementation of BS8004 in which friction coefficient was not used.

Regards,

Konrad
