Dear all,

When using slabs on metal deck, can anyone clearly define the difference between the option “Slab on trapezoidal plate” and “slab composed with a trapezoidal plate”? They look pretty much identical, but maybe the first option is for a plate entirely made from steel? Or is there a difference with how they take composite action into account? Is the difference concerning using the deck as formwork only?

Anybody know? Thanks.

The "composed" includes the steel deck in the calculated stiffness.

The other one , just the concrete
