Slab offset and slab extrusion direction

Is there a way to offset slabs? I want to extrude the slab in a way that the extrusion goes downward. Instead the slab gets extruded in a way that half of the slab lies above the centre line and another half lies below the centre line. Is there a way to offset the slab and it's axis just like how we offset for Beams?

No, there isn't. You should define it in its real position and use e.g. rigid link to connects it with the rest of a model.
