Seismic Loading Visualization

Dear All,

1.) I wish to know how RSA handles the creation of seismic loads for any arbitrary structures and is there any possible way of show those loads(created automatically based on user input) acting on the structure visually as a point, uniform loads etc..?

2.) Is it correct to set the factor to -1 for self weight when I'm aiming to include the bar self weights ?

Your comments will be appreciated.

Regards,

You need to display pesudostatic forces (Reactions tab of the Diagrams dialog).

I'm not sure what exactly your aim is, yet the -1 factor means that the self weight acts in the opposite direction that selected direction of the gravity force (e.g. -Z* -1 = +Z)
