Same Reinforcement in all column

Hi All,

I am a new user of RSA 2013. When I am going to do design structure, It will give same reinforcement for all storey.

For the top most stoey it will give same einforcement as it will give for the bottom most storey.

I have given same load on all storey. I am using Indian Corcrete Design Code IS 456:2000 for design concrete member. Material is M25 for all.

Thanks in advance.

What do you mean by "I want"?

Program calculates reinforcement. If required reinforcement is less or equal minimum given by the code - the minimum is used, otherwise calculated amount of reinforcement.

Hi,

Thnx RG. You are right but my qustion is for all storey.

In my model I have 7 storey building and in every column same reinforcement is there.

As I understand Bottom most stoey consume more load so it has more moment. Due to this it should have more reinforcement compare to top storey.

Please Guide me.

Provide me your mail so I can send my model.

Hi,

Thank you very much for your support. Can I have the exact method to design column, Beam, slab, etc...?

Still I understand that, we can design from Menu Bar > Design > Required reinforcement of RC beams / Columns.

And we have to set parameter from Menu Bar > Design > Required reinforcement of RC beams / Columns - options.

Now can you explain what is that for?

If you have the way to exact design, please provide me.

Thanks once again.

Slanted columns, inclined beams or if you want reinforce elements by your own using required reinforcement area only

Hi,

I already have this tutorial and I go through it.

Can you have any document related to robot 2013 or newer version.?

Please explain me to under stand the difference between required reinforcement and provided reinforcement.

At what time should I use for design for which task?

Please finf attachment.

I want to know the exact meaning of this two term related to this software.

Please explain me to under stand the difference between required reinforcement and provided reinforcement.

Required reinforcement - amount of reinforcement (reported as area (value)) required by the national code to reinforce element

Provided reifnorcement = required reinforcement + all geometrical requirements given by the code (minimum spacing, minimum diameter etc) and as a result program generates real rebars in real positions

in RC Beam , Column or Spread footing module the first step is calculated in a "background" so as  final results you get real reifnorcement

For RC Slabs you have to  \ can do it in two steps : first calculate required reinfoecement then import designed panel to Provided reinforcement module

If you want to calculate only required reifnorcement for bar elements you may use mentioned earlier option
