RSA Bug/Probelm: Model erases all FE and changes the model geometry

Hi,

After spending almost a week modelling the attached file and cleaning it up, once it tries to run it erases all FE meshes an move nodes and panels geometry and I don't know why this happens. Everything was going ok during modelling except some rounding errors for panel geometry which i had to manually edit, but other than that everything was fine.

Help!!

Hi,

Try to freeze the meshed model before run calculation.

the mesh is already frozen, i think it is a solid modular issue, because if you try to run it the model collapses and moves beams and nodes all around the model.

There are 2 undefined panels (11 and 15) if you try to select them.

It you select finite elements from undefined panels this shows up.

To make your model run , I deleted the 2 undefined panels(11 and 15) . Then goto geometry/ panels , select the finite elements you want in your panel and use this

geometry panels.jpg

Assign the correct thickness to this panel.

You can create just a single panel with the flat large wall + the 2 curved tubes that intersect it , or you can create  3 distinct panels.Your choice and mandatory if they have different thicknesses. There´s also a separated tube panel

Then , apply your mesh options(mesh size 0,15m)  , mesh it and  redo your  affected rigid links( I didn´t do that , maybe that´s why it´s giving instabilities). Don´t use kinematic constraints. Correct the mesh instead if there are mesh problems.

Check the loads on the newly created panels.Couldn´t do that.

Model running below.

.Others warnings arised as " matrix not positive definite" ,But  that´s another ( buckling)  problem.Smiley Happy Correct the model completely and see what you get!

Thanks a lot, I did not expect that not defining a panel would cause this issue, usually it tells you panels not defined or overlapping panels, but in my cases something definitely went wrong.
Thanks for your help.
