Robot 'Stuck' in Calculations

I've been having a problem whereby my model gets 'stuck' during the calculation. Meshing and structure verification etc. are completed without any warnings, but when in comes to calculating the final load case, the green bar simply stops moving (even when leaving it for 1hr+).

Strangely, the status bar reads 'Done.', CPU usage drops to zero and the map results seem to update, suggesting that the calculation is in fact complete.

Any ideas?

I do not see any problem.

Clean windows %temp% folder before next robot start.

Try attached file

Hi Rafal,

I've tried your file on a different computer (a much faster one) and it ran fine for the first analysis. I then made a few changes to the mesh settings and I ran into the same problem, which still occured even when reverting the mesh changes back to the original.

Seems like a very strange issue..

Thanks

Being in this situation try to close Robot by clicking on the X in the top right corner of the program and press Cancel in the displayed dialog (or Yes and re-laod the file).

Clicking 'X' and then Cancel simply returns me to the calculation screen. Clicking 'X' then Yes and re-loading the file has the same effect as clicking 'Stop' on the calculations - the results are all there and seem to have been updated.

All the signs are pointing to the fact that the analysis has finished - it just doesn't say that in the progress bar.

If I understand you correctly this allows you to have the model with results and without the dialog being visible on the screen which sounds like the solution for this situation. Is this right?

Yes, that is correct.

My only concern is whether it is safe to assume that the results are correct, even though Robot has technically not 'finished' the calculation?

The results appear reasonable so I am fairly sure that they can be accepted, but it just doesn't fill me with much confidence when the dialogue still suggests that the calculation is incomplete.

You can see that looking at the status of the results being changed to available.
