We have started to test Robot on Windows 11 system.  We haven't found any issues so far.

Please report, if anybody comes across any problem.

Next release should definitely support Windows 11.

Thanks

Just for kicks, I tried Robot on Windows 11 arm.  It ran perfect the first time I tried it.  Crazy fast.  This was on parallels on a macbook pro M1 max.  Because the arm version of Windows 11 is an insiders build, it updates it's self every couple weeks.  After the last update, only the splash screen pops up and then disappears.   So I'm guessing Microsoft broke something because it currently it won't start.  Everything else I've tried seams to work great, honestly better than the PC versions.

Windows 11 for arm does not appear to work with robot 2023. Just a splash screen is displayed, then silent crash.

When trying to use printout composition, MS word will not launch at all. I'm thinking it has to do with windows 11 because the same model operates fine on another machine running windows 10 and robot 2023. Any thoughts or steps I could take will be appreciated. Thanks.

Robot desktop script execution inconsistency (Click event alone) when running on Win 11 compared to Win 10.

Is anyone faced this kind of issue earlier?

No, I gave up.  I bought a new pc laptop to replace my PC desktop.  The new laptop is great but battery life is magnitudes less than the mac.  Mac is all day battery life.  PC is maybe 1.5 hrs.  The new machine is crazy fast but also heats up my little office when I'm there.  Apple has the power / heat problem mastered.  Their silicon processors are works of art.  Sure wish at a minimum Autodesk would compile their software to at least run natively on windows 11 for arm.  Then the performance hit on parallels wouldn't be so bad.  Anything that is currently build for windows has to run through an emulator to convert from x86 / x64 to arm.  Just a guess but that's probably why Robot won't work.  There's some library(s) that don't play well with this emulator.

Did anybody check if Robot 2025 works on Mac with M1/M2/M3 with Parallels or VMware, or if the immediate crash persists? Please Autodesk, fix this. You are not introducing substantial features in new versions, so you should have time enough for installing VMware or Parallels on an Apple Silicon Mac, and diagnose the cause of the Robot crash, and fix it. I've been using Robot for teaching in class for almost a decade now, but a number of my students are buying Apple Silicon Macs to replace their older Intel Macs, and this incompatibility might force us to drop Robot as a tool in class and move to other structural analysis software that works on VMware/Parallels. Please, consider fixing this! Thanks a lot!

I think Autodesk focused on implementing structural analysis tools directly to Revit and they have no plans for develop native Revit, Robot versions for macOS. It is a business decision on their side, and I am not using mac for work because lack of macOS support. Without Revit and Robot, the mac is useless for me, and I need native support.

In the past I use bootcamp with native windows support on mac but now we may need to wait for industry to adopt ARM chips in order to Autodesk or similar companies develop products for that architecture.
