Hi All, I have a doubt regarding rigid link . I have a wall and i want to connect the beam with rigid link to the opening edges.
I was experimenting the rigid link with Ux Uy Uz blocked - in two cases a) with primary node as node in beam b)with primary node as node in wall edge . Same two case I did with Ux Uy Uz Rx Ry Rz blocked
The Bending moment diagram for the beams as shown below-
Ux Uy Uz blocked-a) with primary node as node in beam
Ux Uy Uz blocked-b) with primary node as node in wall
Why is the difference in Bending Moment Diagram pattern.
But when I did the same with Ux Uy Uz Rx Ry RZ blocked - both bending moment diagrams remains in same pattern for both cases with primary node in wall and beam
