Hi,
I have modelled a RC beam and connected to a column using rigid link (See screenshot attached) to transfer moment to column due to eccentricity.
When i check bending moment diagrams of my beam i can see higher hogging moment. Even though there should be a hogging moment, the results due to rigid link fixity is higher than directly connected to column.
What kind of stiffness does it take at ends modelled with rigid links?
Coz i think beam takes infinite stiffness at rigid link. (Please correct me if I'm wrong). Or how can i model this correctly?
And when i try to export this beam to RC beam design module, it does not detect links as supports.
