Hi, Anyone has an idea why on a connection of two slab elements I have high required reinforcement on one side of the connection even moment diagram doesn't show any abnormalities in this area?Capture1.JPGCapture2.JPG

Thanks, R. Peter

Could you please attach your model?

Hi @Anonymous

Is it  the same when you disable correction of deflection by additional reinforcement (if activated) and the reduction  of the moments over supports?

Artur, this was due to redistribution of loads from one panel 400 mm deep to other panel 250 mm deep (Globally averaged design forces). Without redistribution the maximum bending moment stays in the slab with bigger depth and therefore OK e.g. there is no excessive amount of reinforcement on one side of edge after redistribution has been switched off.

Hi Peter,

I'm glad you found the cause and posted it.

I think that it is OK to mark your post as the solution, isn't it? Smiley Happy
