I have a reinforced concrete design consisting of a slab and underneath it in shape of circular wall that is supported at the bottom. I modeled it as a shell panel elements. After first series of analysis I ended up with exaggerated vertical reaction forces. Then I simplified the model, got rid of environmental and equipment loads to see if the base model is fine.
The deadload is approximately 1314kN (which is expected range) and the sum of reactions occurring in Fz direction is 2628kN. As you may notice quick, exact 2 times more.
The problem occurs as always when you are under time pressure 🙂 I appreciate any help!
