please i need your urgent help, i have lost 24 hours redoing all kind of meshing for the structure and still no stability.

yesterday i follow Rafal's Video that was explaining how to do the meshing and was working but today is not working anymore.

i have tried everything but no hope.

Please Nobody is answering my question here, i do not know why!!

If somebody had same experience in the past i peg you to help me out or I lose my mind.

thank you All

Hi,

1-try to reduce the number of edges on the panels (a straight edge doesn't need to be cut into 4 or 5 edges)

2-Manually add nodes on edges or inside panels. Those nodes will be used for meshing

manually added nodesmanually added nodesmeshes with added nodesmeshes with added nodesmeshes without added nodesmeshes without added nodes

3-Try to generate mesh only one panel at a time

4-When a beam (like a post) is near an the edge of a panel, the node will be used to generate meshes giving unpleasant surprises (like 2 to close nodes).

Hi Paul,

First thank you for the reply.

how you can do mesh without adding the nodes in? they come in automatically when generating the mesh?

thanks

Hi @Anonymous ,

The mesh-nodes are created automatically when you "Mesh" your panels. You can control the Mesh Size and mesh properties on the Mesh Option dialogue Window.

Thanks you All,

But the problem was not in the meshing itself, I have managed to resolve all instability issues up to the point that all concrete panels and slabs are done.

The issue now that, i have to add the steel roof to it and "Ola" I got instability in Ry direction.

I used the rigid connection between all beams and the concrete panels (with Spiderpro) in manner to get rid of that instability but with no hope.

I am attaching two models, one just concrete with no error and the other one with the steel roof.

I went through all the videos for the instability and they were helpful in my first part in the concrete not to forget the meshing video of Rafal (thanks) but unfortunately when in Robot we start mixing steel & concrete issue will arise.

Please, any idea how to resolve?

Thank you All.

Hi,

The rare times i have modeled meshed panels, i didn't care about type 3 instabilities especially when located somewhere of my panels.

Maybe i'm wrong but type 3 are hard to resolve (if not impossible sometimes)

Thank you Paul for your answer.

Hopefully, we'll get more answers or explanations about this issue.

the problem that if i'll release the beams at the end with the concrete panels to eliminate the moment, ( it'll be a pin beam to plate anchored to concrete panel connection)  i'll get infinite instability errors.

i'll relay on hand calculation in this item but really hope somebody went through these problems and will let us know.
