I have modelled a pipe offtake (t-junction) with moment applied to the branch. How should I model the collar plate which is welded to the pipe wall around the pipe offtake?
I have tried modelling the collar as a curved panel however it becomes very difficult to get the geometry right.
I have attached the model. Appreciate any advice.
