Hi all,
I know that there are many topics related to one way spanning slabs however my question relates to the deflection result of the slab.
I am looking to support hollow slabs on beams - I have had trouble and have chosen to use a orthotropic slab of constant thickness.
I have used a 5m x 8m grid for my test with a 2kN/m2 UDL and the moments on the beams are as I expect them to be and fine.
However the deflection results look odd and I think that the results should be rotated by 90 degrees - please find the screenshot attached.
I have also run other tests and found that I am getting deflections in the positive directions whcih is odd!
Could somebody help please?
