Modelling a capping beam in Robot

Hello all,
I would like to model and analyse a capping beam that has various steps in level. Is this a good idea or is it best to model it using Revit -> then imported into Robot?
So far, I have imported outlines of the capping beam from AutoCAD (line levels vary in Z axis depending on the step locations) but now struggling to make the beams overlap in robot so suit. See example attached. Any advice would be welcome and appreciated.
