Hi everyone,
I would like to know if RSA 2017 is able to model non linear damper that we need to design at each end of a long bridge.
Then we would use a time-history analysis to calculate the dynamic response of the structure (with sismic acceleration).
The relation between force and velocity would be as below :
F = C.V^a
F : force
C : damping factor
a : damping exposant (different than 1 ! probably equal to 0.10)
V : velocity
It seems that only linear dampers are possible right now (then a = 1)
Please tell me if there is way to do that.
If not, I would like to know if another Autodesk software is able to do so.
Thanks a lot for your help
Regards
