model problem

Dear all,

I have to model a curtain wall on Robot and subject it to some loads in order to verify its structural strength. I modeled transoms and uprights as beams and columns, while glass as a panel. When I go to insert loads and launch the analysis I don't get any displacements. While removing the panel everything works. What could be the problem?
Thx for your attention

Hi @antonino.gulletta

You might use rigid diaphragm for panel calculation model. Screenshot does not provide necessary information to detect problem. Share your model for verification.

Hi @antonino.gulletta

You have used XY diaphgram for vertical panel. It is not correct calculation model definition for vertical panel (it can be used for horizontal panels - program shows error while calculation).

Define model in XY plane (rotate it and modify loads) or remove diaphragm from calculation model guscio2

I entered the diaphragm when I read his suggestion. Even without it the model doesn't work.

Hi @antonino.gulletta

With calculation model guscio (no diaphragm) I am obtaining displacements for load case 1 (other load cases have no loads defined).

Displacements are small probably due to excessive panel thickenss (50 cm).

I'm doing something wrong. I see the deformed, but the displacements are zero.

Hi @antonino.gulletta ,

Please check the units and number of digits after the decimal point.

Could it be that the program approximates to a certain number of decimal places? and being small displacements do not result? If so, where can I change this property from?
