Modal Analysis for Multi Tower building

Could you help me how to perform Modal analysis for Multi Tower building ? Do they need any special assignment before run analysis ? Thank you very much for your help.

There is no 'special' modal analysis settings which is building type dependent. Just run it as for any model.

By this way, how about mass per stories will be calculated? they will sum all mass of two tower together, and it is not realistic action of them when affected by wind or seismic.

Yes, the mass will be the sum from both towers as the definition of stories is geometrical rather than based on selection however the shapes of vibrations and eigenfrequencies will catch the behavior of each of them.

Dear Artur, 

Could you help me check this model, I define diaphragm for each slab already, but when I run model analysis, I haven't seen robot show coordinate of Center of Rigid for each tower, so I can't assign dynamic wind load for each tower. I also upload the robot model for your reference. Could you help me on this? Thank you very much.

Hi @Anonymous

There is no function in Robot for modal analysis of multi tower building.

You can analyze them of course in Robot but all the result of modal analysis wont be idealized correctly in order to depend on it seismic analysis

You need to make separate model for each tower and analyze it individually .
