Load Definition - kN/m2? Possible?

Hi all,

I was just about to apply loads to a structure I modeled. It's a high rise building in concrete and steel, so only basic surface loads and wind loads. I discovered that loads are defined as kN/mm^2.

I've always worked with kN/m^2 and would prefer this setting.

How can I change this? I tried manipulating Job Preferences, but no luck. I even started a new project to see if that helped, but I can't seem to pull it off.

Hopefully this can be done and hopefully it can be done without starting the job all over, since it's been a lot of work.

PS: Structure dimensions were set in mm.

Thanks in advance!

It should be possible. Have you tried Job Preferences->Units and Formats->Forces->Stress->Select Area unit as m2 ?

Hi,

Thanks!

I believe I have. But I tried it once more now, "Save current parameters as default" and "Close", but I still have kN/mm^2 for the loads.

Either something else needs to be done or I'm doing something wrong or it is because those changes can't be made after a job has started? Or maybe because I use "mm" for structure and section dimensions?
