It is possible sending reinforced concrete reinforcement from Robot 2024 to Revit 2024

Good morning everyone!

Is it no longer possible to send the frames of reinforced concrete parts, calculated in Robot, to Revit 2024?
In the 2021-2022 versions was it possible, in 2023-2024 did the software suffer a regression?
Is there any prospect of this interoperability problem being fixed in the near future?

Thank you in advance for the community support.

Hi @student20018

This option was disabled starting from version 2023.

Refer to

Is it possible to export provided reinforcement calculated in Robot Structural Analysis 2023 and 202...

why? this a good interoperability tool

Lol the feature was so bad and immature that I would not call it a regression xD

So what is the best workflow for dimensioning and designing reinforcement? Use the robot to find
out what reinforcement I need and then revit and some type of add-in to draw the reinforcement in Revit? Thank you in advance for your support.

Well, you have a separation of concerns now in the Autodesk Software Suite:
robot -> perform finite element analysis

revit -> detailing

With the latest updates I think you are able to import the elastic reinforcement maps and/or forces.

With those maps you can detail you reinforcement in revit.

There is no magic button right now unfortunately... let's hope autodesk will further develop interoperability between these tools so that we get an easier workflow.

There are add ins you can check out Autodesk add in store but basically you need to recreate the reinforcement in Revit and cannot transfer any reinforcement between robot and Revit latest version.

There paid and free add ins for creating reinforcement in Revit and Revit also has rebar feature to fully create them mostly manually without any add in.

You can also create reinforcement drawings and schedules in Robot.

Both software can create reinforcement but cannot transfer each other.

Rodrigues,

you can import the required reinforcement information to Revit and do detailing manually, or using some paid pluggins.

"or using some paid pluggins."---Like what ? Do you know some plugins?

Hi Rodrigues,

I use the Graitec's plugin called "PowerPack for Concrete", but there are others, like: Sofistik, Naviate.

Thanks
