Hi, I am designing a truss structure and the lower chord gives me not normal values for buckling interaction parameter kzz. The value that is calculated is equal to 9999!!

The same structure is solved with Staad Pro from an other engineer and it doesn't gives buckling problem for the sections.

Hi @TSOFA

It seems that your member is under compression. Axial force (138 kN) is bigger that buckling Euler force for compressed members (73 kN). In that case stability check makes no sense. This is the reason why kij are set to very big values. I would check why bottom chord is compressed. If it should be I would, check buckling length which is now about 8 m.
