Integrating Mexican Wind and Seismic Load Codes in Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2023

Dear members of the forum,

I am a user of Autodesk Robot Structural Analysis 2023 and I am trying to use the program to integrate the Mexican wind and seismic load codes in the design of structures. However, I am facing difficulties in setting up the program to comply with these specific codes.

I was wondering if anyone on the forum has had experience in this area and could provide me with some tips or recommendations on how to set up the program to comply with these codes. Additionally, if anyone has any tutorials or resources available that could assist me in this process, I would be greatly appreciative to receive them.

I am trying to integrate this program into the operation of my company, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards, Luis A. Rodríguez

Hello @luis.rodriguez4040,

For seismic analysis (modal-spectral), you can prepare in a spreadsheet points of desired seismic spectrum, and then import to RSA by creating *.spe file. In case of wind analysis, you need to calculate pressure loads and manually applied them to corresponding elements. There is not dedicated module in RSA for Mexican codes. You could also try using wind load simulation, but you will have to check that automatically generated pressure loads are equivalent to loads required by the code.

Regards,
