Hot Rolled portal frame v Cold rolled portal frame model using Robot software

Hello, 

I'm a student studying civil engineering and I am currently doing my Honours project which looks at the comparison between Hor-rolled steel portal frames and Cold-rolled steel portal frames. 

My plan for my Honours project was to design two portal frame models, one of the Hot-rolled steel sections and the other of Cold-rolled steel sections. 

My question was; is it possible using Robot Structural Analysis Professional to make two basic portal frames, one with Hot-rolled sections and the other with Cold-rolled sections?

Hi @Anonymous

Yes, you can do this but be aware that the steel design module supports only Eurocode for the verification of the later and the program will disregard the warping effect.
