Error 1470

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

I have to update and make new run for a model I completed a while back.

But when I make a new run I get various warnings - among others for two isolated nodes nr 80 and 468. But when I delete these and run again I get error message 1470, I dont know what this means and it is not on the list of messages which I found here:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/robot-structural-analysis-products/learn-explore/caas/CloudHe...

Also there seems to be a problem with an area load I applied to loadcases 2 and 3.

I proceed the i get am message that there is dataloss and that I should immediately close and open again. But when I try to do this the model will not be saved.

What should I do so that I can continue with the model ?

The model is here:

Clean windows %temp% folder before next robot start

Hi

As I continue to make small changes to this model I continue to get the error 1470. I have found out that I seem to be able to avoid the error by making only one change of the time, saving to a new name and restarting Robot before analysis. If I do 2 changes and do reanalysis straight away - then there will be the 1470 error and Robot will only save a bak file. Why is this and what can I do to change it?

Does it have anything to do with the kinematic problem mentioned under the warnings?

My current file is at this link.

http://www.filemail.com/t/739fd416a407486eb7211bf015b8342d?utm_source=recipient&utm_medium=email&utm...

Further to this I have noticed that in my model when doing 3D plot only some of the members show their 3D shape while others are with single line only - why is this and what can I do to change this?Capture.JPG

error 1470 is related to saving nodal results in temporary files.
clean windows %temp% folder and restart computer.

Can you record what you are doing and post link to video?

Reload sections IPE300, IPE220, HE220A, HE600A from database.

Hi

In the enclosed screencast I reload the sections as adviced by you but when I subsequently analyze it the new file goes .bak for some reason and is not ready for reload next time.

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast/7aba0891-dbb4-4bde-b377-728c9b2cb2e5

I have repeated this several times and it happens every time.

Here are the two files I use:

http://www.filemail.com/d/urjmddmymjrvzdk?utm_source=confirmation&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Emai...

A am aware of that now it does not mention anything about the 1470 error, but it often happened earlier in conjunction with this causing similar problems where the file is all of a sudden lost to .bak without any other error message or warning

Faced the same problem - when you save the main file, it disappears, only the file is left.
Version of the robot 2017 - anyway - do not help cleaning the folders temp and CFGUSR, and there's no difference what kind of file and what to do in it
In other versions everything works fine

Hi @wncbobah

I'm not sure if I understand the above. What actually disappears - rtd file itself, objects from a model ? My assumption is it has nothing to do with error 1470 isn't it?

Yes, the file itself (rtd) is deleted when the save button is pressed, no errors are written, only sometimes the "error message 1470". Helps only through "save as" and necessarily under a new name - since if you leave the name too, the file breaks .. but I have every 10 minutes a new file (
And this happens to me on 2 computers (at home and at work) - can the robot version be somehow bad?

Hi @wncbobah

Thank you for providing this additional information about the use of the Save command. Do you save the file on a local drive or a network one?

save the file on a local drive

help only that everything is in dropbox - and it is possible to restore from remote - even though I did not delete a file (

Hi @wncbobah

I have escalated this issue to the RSA development team. Please use save as and give the model a new name as the temporary workaround even thou this increases the number of files you have got on your hard drive as I can't think of any smarter and still safe solution Smiley Sad
