ELASTO-PLASTIC ANALYSIS - info Robot Structural Analysis‏‏

it is possible that a beam loaded so they yield of displacements so excessive?

 

It 's normal or is there something I'm getting out in the settings linear analysis and the results?

I'm not sure if I understand you correctly but if the question is about linear static analysis principles then yes, you can define load that in reality would cause the development of a plastic hinge in a beam. Such effects are out of scope for linear static analysis and you would need to run elasto-plastic one instead.

You define it from the section definition dialog. See also the attached document.
