Hey,
I have been trying to reproduce design examples from AISC on RSA. I have noticed a issue in Check for tension. The problem is that efficetive area is not modified. Member defination is as per shown below.
The type is defined as shown
Now when i do the code check in fact these parameters are updated but effective area does not chnage infact it should deacrease as effective area is Ae = An x U and where An = Red. factor x Ag. But these are the resuts that i recieve.
