In my 'Profile' I indicated 'M CRN' as the name I want to appear in my posts: why instead it is the beginning of my email address that appears?

I have already written twice to customer support and I've had NO answer whatsoever!

 

I also want to edit a post of mine and delete personal information that I pasted in by mistake.  Again customer support have been completely absent.

 

Can you please help, I would really appreciate it.

Thank you.  Can you please delete also the section highlighted in the attached image.

 

And for my other query, can you forward it to the Community Manager, if I email directly it would bounce back.

Hello @Anonymous,

 

It looks like you entered M CRN into the name field which is typically reserved for your 1st and last name. To change your public facing username / Autodesk ID, you would do so via https://accounts.autodesk.com/Profile/Security.

Tired of your Current Autodesk ID? Change it!

 

On a related note, I tried to track down the customer support requests that you mentioned, but was unable to do so. Can you please confirm where / how you were submitting those requests?

Philip,

 

thank you for the info and for your interest.  I submitted my requests as shown in images 'email1' and 'email2' attached.

'email3' is the response I got from 'email2', so I followed the link provided (www.autodesk.com/customerservice) where there is a long list of predefined situations to choose from, but never ends in an actual contact ... or at least this is my experience.  So I posted in the forum.

 

I've now changed my username (Autodesk ID) as from your instructions, I hope it will work for future posts but I've noticed it hasn't changed my existing posts, which instead would be desirable.

You're most very welcome and thanks for the additional details @Anonymous. In order to receive a timely response to a new support request it's always best to create a new case as apposed to trying to reopen an existing one and/or contacting a member of the support team directly.

 

As far as the Contact Us options, you need to choose a topic -> category -> contact method below possible solutions.

 

Ex: http://knowledge.autodesk.com/contactus -> Account Management -> Editing Account Information -> Click on available Support Option (email, chat, or phone)

 

Also relevant to note that as a subscription customer you have additional access to direct support via the following:

 

Completing a Web Support Request

 

Lastly, it doesn't look like your new Autodesk ID / username saved as it should be an instantaneous change in the forums (please note that you can't have any spaces in it). Are you able to try again and send me a Private Message with a screenshot of the page if it doesn't work?
