EC8 Equivalent Lateral Force Method - is q included in displacements?

Very quick, simple question,

When using EQLFM for seismic analysis to Eurocode

IS q-value included in the nodal displacements that are displayed for the seismic combinations?

i.e. Refering to EC8 Cl 4.3.4 (1):

Are the nodal displacements equal to ds or de ?

Thanks in advance,

Hi @ByrnePM

According to my knowledge they are multiplied by q so they are ds.

Artur,

This is not the case!!

I have changed my q factor from 4 down to 1 and all of my displacements have increased by 4 times !

Indicating that the q factor is not taken into account for nodal displacements when using the equivalent lateral force method to Eurocode within ROBOT

The nodal displacements are de not ds

Hi @ByrnePM

As far as I can see the displacements are the same and forces different which seems correct to me.
